Have you received, or know someone who has received, a mental health diagnosis? How did you, or they, react? Was there a positive impact or a negative impact?

A Lancet Psychiatry paper, published last week, has assessed various stakeholder experiences with the aim to ‘understand and inform diagnostic practice‘. It’s the ‘largest review looking at service user, carer and clinician experiences of mental health diagnosis‘ and will hopefully help provide more guidance on contextualising diagnosis.

You can find the full paper here or read The Guardian opinion piece ‘Mental health labels can save lives. But they can also destroy them‘.

We’d also love to hear your experiences whether it’s leaving a comment below or emailing us @ info@talkforhealth.co.uk
