If you’re interested in mental health and wellbeing, why not come to one of our Special events? Specials are themed events with guest speakers and juicy new learning. They also give you an idea of what Talk for Health is about.
Talk for Health Cafés are 2-hour sessions led by our Psychotherapist-trained facilitators. Everyone has a set amount of time to share and respond to each other, and you learn to use all the Talk for Health feedback techniques. You can come to any Café at any time but you must register to attend. Click on the link below to check all our available cafes:
The Core Programme is an in-depth journey of understanding yourself and others, and learning therapeutic talk techniques. It has a big positive impact on wellbeing and reduces depression. There is a total of 24 hours of input over 6 weeks. It is offered either as four six-hour days or 4 evenings and 2 Saturdays.
Once you’ve attended 6 Cafés over 6 months or completed the Core Programme, you’ll be a Talk for Health Graduate and get a Talk for Health Peer Counselling Skills Certificate! Then you can attend further training and our special ‘Chair and Share’ groups, which are advanced ongoing groups. See the Talk for Health Graduates section for more.
Done a Taster or Special and want to know what’s next?
The first point of entry to Talk for Health is to attend either a Taster or one of our community events (‘Specials’). That way you find out more and see if Talk for Health is for you.
